Hotel Security Guard (Overnight) - PT

About the role

We are looking for an overnight hotel security professional with comprehensive knowledge of service standards and guest relations who can exemplify SCP's core values. This person will assist in nearly all nightly operations of our Redmond, Oregon hotel, including guest services, late check-ins, and hotel security. To succeed in this role, you must be adaptable, resourceful, and passionate about creating an exceptional experience for all guests.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, regardless of time or busyness.
• Embrace and exemplify the SCP Culture & Core Values in daily duties.
• Post all proper charges on guest reservations, including adjusting taxes and processing payments from prepaid cards.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all hotel features, services, and hours of operation.
• Monitor the check-in/check-out process; assist in critical situations to alleviate pressure and expedite guest processing.
• Monitor communication logs and ensure guest requests are followed up within property-specified timeframes.
• Oversee safe cash management procedures and ensure availability of keys.
• Process guest mail according to established procedures.
• Ensure security of guest room access.
• Inspect, plan, and ensure all materials and equipment are ready for service.
• Maintain knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.
• Comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
• Cultivate collaborative, mutually supportive relationships with co-workers.
• Monitor team members' interactions with guests to ensure prompt and courteous service; resolve discrepancies and report issues to the Manager.
• Safeguard the hotel property, assets, guests, visitors, and staff through calm and alert patrols, answering house calls, and assisting with safety and security in hotel operations.

Requirements

• Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit.
• Ability and willingness to work overnight shifts based on the needs of a 24/7 hotel operation.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with urgency and empathy.
• 2+ years in hotel security preferred.
• Strong self-management, time management, organizational, and verbal communication skills.

Pay

$22 per hour.

Schedule

Part-time, overnight shifts.
