Hotel Maintenance Manager
About the role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Chief Engineer/Building Maintenance Manager to lead, train, and mentor the Engineering team at the AC Element Hotel by Marriott in Rochester, NY at City Gate. This role ensures the proper working order, maintenance, and overall condition of the hotel and its assets, overseeing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across building systems and equipment, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, guest rooms, and public areas.
The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with effective leadership and a hands-on approach to hotel maintenance, managing preventative maintenance programs, developing Engineering associates, and partnering with other hotel departments to ensure safe and efficient property operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and mentor the Engineering team.
- Oversee preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, guest rooms, and public areas.
- Manage and implement preventative maintenance programs.
- Partner with other hotel departments to ensure safe and efficient property operations.
- Maintain the overall condition and working order of the hotel and its assets.
