About the Role
The Maintenance Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within a facility, particularly in hotel environments. This position is responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of complex systems such as boilers, refrigeration units, compressors, and chilled water systems to maintain optimal performance and safety standards. The Maintenance Engineer will implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment, thereby supporting the overall guest experience and operational efficiency. Collaboration with other departments and external vendors is essential to coordinate repairs and upgrades while adhering to regulatory compliance and safety protocols. Ultimately, this role ensures that all maintenance activities contribute to a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for both staff and guests.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on boilers, refrigeration systems, compressors, swimming pool, spa, chilled water systems, and electrical systems to ensure reliable operation.
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, electrical faults, and mechanical failures promptly to minimize disruption to hotel operations.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and repairs to support compliance and future planning.
- Cook up with external contractors and suppliers for specialized repairs, parts procurement, and system upgrades.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
