Hotel Maintenance/Engineer I (Overnight) - Engineering (Full Time)

Responsibilities

• Participate in the preventive maintenance program and be completely familiar with its purpose and machinery involved
• Be able to climb ladders, be in good physical condition, use all tools in a safe manner, and follow and promote company safety rules
• Correct any hazardous conditions throughout the hotel
• Do their own inspections throughout the entire hotel and plan their activities based on them, report the findings to the Engineering Department
• Learn their duties and responsibilities as part of the Fire and Emergency Rescue Team
• Be responsible for housekeeping and cosmetics of all areas supervised by the Engineering Department
• Participate in departmental problem solving teams

Qualifications

• Communicate in English with hotel guest, visitors and staff to their understanding
• Provide legible communication
• Compute mathematical calculations
• Perform basic plumbing and HVAC techniques
• Properly and safely use hand and power tools
• Perform job functions with minimal supervision
• Think clearly under high pressure or emergency situations
• Adapt to priority changes of work flow or requirements
• Work cohesively as a team member
• Work in and around the public in a positive and professional manner

Experience, Education, & Licensure

• High School graduate or G.E.D.
• Vocational/technical background
• Valid Vehicle Operators License
• Trade school or apprenticeship in general maintenance
• 2+ years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience

Pay

Base Pay: Start Rate: $28.33/Hr.
