About the Role
Keep It Fresh. Keep It Fun. Keep Moxy Looking Great! Enjoy staying active, fixing small things, and helping your team? Bring your energy and hands-on skills to Moxy Richmond Downtown! Keeping a place this fun looking this good takes someone who can do a little bit of everything. We’re looking for a Hotel Houseperson to help keep our spaces clean, welcoming, and in great shape. From supporting housekeeping to touching up paint, you’ll take on a variety of tasks that make a visible difference every day.
Why You’ll Love It Here
- Part-time that fits your life. Work around school, family, a second job, or whatever else you’ve got going on.
- Never the same day twice. Housekeeping, light maintenance, public areas. You’ll stay busy and never get bored.
- Learn new skills. Pick up hands-on maintenance know-how that can open doors to your next role.
- A hotel with personality. Moxy is fun, modern, and never boring, and neither is working here.
- Downtown energy. Work in the middle of Richmond’s restaurants, music, and city buzz.
- Mostly day shifts. Work while the sun’s up, with some mid-shifts and evenings when the hotel needs you.
- No experience? No problem. We’ll train you on everything you need to know.
- Room to grow. With 80+ hotels, we promote from within. Today’s Houseperson could be tomorrow’s Maintenance Tech, Rooms Inspector, Supervisor, or beyond.
Responsibilities
- Support room attendants by removing used linens, towels, and trash from guest rooms.
- Deliver fresh linens, supplies, and requested items.
- Keep the lobby, hallways, elevators, and public spaces looking sharp.
- Vacuum, dust, clean windows, and maintain organized supply areas.
- Handle basic maintenance: touch-up painting, patching walls, replacing bulbs and filters, tightening fixtures, unclogging drains, etc.
- Report maintenance concerns that require specialized repairs.
- Follow safe cleaning practices and use tools and equipment properly.
- Welcome guests with a friendly attitude and lend teammates a hand.
