About the role
As a Houseperson at Hollywood Casino & Hotel, you will support housekeeping operations in a fast-paced entertainment environment. You’ll work with a diverse team to ensure guests have a clean and enjoyable experience.
Responsibilities
- Stock housekeeping supplies and linen, and deliver housekeeping-related items to guest rooms.
- Report all maintenance needs and service issues as needed.
- Dust and polish furniture and fixtures; vacuum, mop, sweep, shampoo carpets, clean/wax floors, remove and dispose of trash, and empty ashtrays.
- Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects (e.g., mattress flipping, furniture moves) as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and employees at all levels.
- Ability to clean and replenish soft and hard supplies.
- Ability to move efficiently between floors as needed.
- Demonstrates knowledge of housekeeping practices and procedures.
- Ability to communicate in English and understand directions.
Physical Demands
- Standing for the duration of your shift.
- Frequent use of hands, crouching, kneeling, and physical activity throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Works in an environment subject to varying noise levels, depending on work volume.
Pay
Starting pay: $16.00 per hour plus an amenity fee of $1.00–$2.00 per hour, with potential to earn up to $18.00 per hour.
Schedule
Full-time shifts available: 9:30 AM–6:00 PM or 11:00 AM–7:00 PM.
