About the role
The Sagamore is seeking an Assistant Front Office Manager to lead the front desk and related services for our guests. This role is critical for fostering a culture of collaboration, guest priority, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Assist Front Office Manager in overseeing Front Desk, Call Center, Concierge, Bellmen, and Doorman
- Provide the highest quality of service to guests
- Handle guest requests and concerns to ensure guest satisfaction
- Maintain and improve guest services by implementing and creating new policies and procedures
- Keep the Front Office team informed of all operating changes from various departments
- Issue appropriate correspondence to dissatisfied guests to achieve satisfaction and guest loyalty
- Support all Front Office teams by performing tasks such as check-ins, valet cars, assisting the call center, etc.
- Train in all Front Office departments
- Ensure the Lobby, Front Desk, Bell stand, and Concierge desk are clean and organized
- Act as Manager on Duty during FOM and upper management absence to attend to guest needs and report situations
- Assign rooms for upcoming reservations and ensure proper alerts for celebrations, upgrades, and other information
Qualifications
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in the hotel/resort industry
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Conflict resolution skills
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work within and lead a team
- Flexibility to work varying schedules including days, nights (no overnights), weekends, and holidays
