Hotel Asst. Shift Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Shift Supervisor. Reporting to the Manager, this role involves supervising staff, managing operational goals, and ensuring high levels of guest service.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and manage daily operations
• Create and administer effective schedules
• Maintain labor costs and achieve guest satisfaction
• Support the budget process and provide recommendations
• Support and promote superior customer service
• Maintain guest rooms and public areas
• Manage room status and availability
• Resolve routine concerns and operational issues
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Provide coaching and feedback to team members
• Plan, assign, and direct work to meet operational and guest service objectives
• Manage workflow and recommend staffing and scheduling
• Assist with staff development and training
• Coordinate with Front Desk and Housekeeping operations

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field
• Two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business materials
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of hotel systems and operations
• Ability to perform essential functions of Housekeeping team members
• Physical stamina and flexibility to work various shifts
• Basic math skills and knowledge of OSHA standards
