Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and address safety concerns within the glass fiberization area, fostering a safe working environment.
- Analyze and organize data to pinpoint sources of process inefficiencies and waste.
- Utilize structured improvement methodologies to lead quality and process enhancement projects, driving profitability.
- Lead small teams of hourly employees to implement process changes and conduct equipment audits.
- Monitor, trend, and optimize process key performance indicators to ensure stability and capability.
- Serve as the technical expert in glass fiberizing operations, troubleshooting and resolving performance-related issues.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports and formal presentations on process performance metrics.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance & Engineering team to mitigate recurring equipment failures and enhance reliability through preventive maintenance strategies.
- Work closely with Quality Engineers to address quality and efficiency challenges through targeted process improvements.
- Partner with equipment and material suppliers to resolve performance and quality concerns.
- Develop and maintain ISO-controlled documentation while conducting internal ISO audits.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Process or Manufacturing Engineer.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership ability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Expertise in formal Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques.
- Proficiency in statistical process control software.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and email communication.
- Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks).
- Minimal travel required.
