Hostperson, Here Kitty Kitty
At the forefront of the restaurant operation, the Hostperson is the first and last person to interact with guests, ensuring a seamless and successful guest service experience. This role works closely and communicates frequently with front of house and back of house management and staff.
Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all guests upon entering the venue.
- Anticipate guests' needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
- Bid farewell to all guests upon departing and extend an invitation to return.
- Oversee daily restaurant reservations and pre-seating assignments, when necessary.
- Optimize seating at different tables to ensure even workload for wait staff.
- Answer restaurant telephone courteously, quickly, and efficiently.
- Perform all opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
- Rotate to other Food & Beverage outlets/venues, as necessary.
- Ensure all Resorts World core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.
- Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
- Use personal device/cellular phone for job-related operational tasks, duties, and reviewing company documents.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of general restaurant operations.
- Proficient in restaurant financial management.
- Working knowledge of restaurant management software system(s).
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
- Polished appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to successfully lead and mentor a team.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ability to obtain the following:
- Alcohol Awareness Card
- Food Handling Card
Qualifications
- At least six months of previous experience in a similar or related field.
- Preferred: Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting or previous experience in a luxury setting.
