What You'll Do
- Welcome guests to Steelbach with warmth and intention
- Provide accurate wait times and manage the waitlist with confidence and transparency
- Manage reservations and coordinate seating across our dining and bar areas with precision
- Escort guests to their assigned tables, present menus, and introduce their server by name
- Bid farewell to every departing guest
- Cook up seating availability and floor flow in real time
- Give extra care and attention to guests who may need additional assistance
- Answer incoming calls promptly and address guest inquiries with professionalism
- Step in to assist the wait staff as needed
What You'll Bring
- A natural ability to connect with people and make them feel genuinely at ease
- Solid organizational skills — you can manage a full floor without losing your composure
- Solid understanding of restaurant etiquette and guest experience standards
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations
- Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone
- Sharp, attentive eye for monitoring the entire dining and bar area
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Good physical condition to stand and move throughout an entire shift
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience as a Host/Hostess or Server preferred
- Experience managing reservations is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Remain standing for extended periods throughout the shift
- Bending, squatting, and lifting up to 15 lbs. for short distances
- Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment with varying noise levels
