What This Role Will Do

  • Greet all guests promptly and courteously
  • Control the flow of guests coming into the restaurant and those waiting for a table
  • Obtain guests' name, number in party, physical description, and any needs for children
  • Anticipate and respond to guest needs
  • Direct guests to appropriate locations and estimate wait times
  • Place menu on tables and wait for guests to be seated
  • Market current and future shows, menu items, and retail
  • Answer guest questions about the menu, music hall, and artists
  • Handle concert tickets and signature sheets
  • Obtain production sheets and member/spouse lists
  • Check foundation membership cards and photo IDs
  • Ensure adherence to HOB dress code policy
  • Hand out wrist bands and/or opera box passes
  • Thank guests for visiting and invite them to return
  • Communicate with other support departments
  • Assist other employees and departments as needed
  • Follow standard operating procedures
  • Communicate during pre-shift meetings

  • High School Diploma
  • Music Mall and Retail operations
  • Working knowledge of restaurant operations, seating procedures, guest relations, problem solving
  • Entry Knowledge of
  • Skill in diplomacy, handling multiple tasks, verbal skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to seat guests in a high-volume restaurant at a pace that maximizes efficiency of service and performance of overall operations
  • Flexible Hours Preferred
  • Point of Sales knowledge, preferably MICRO
  • Previous experience handling VIP customers
  • Previous Customer Service/Host experience
  • Skills in interpersonal communication and teamwork

Physical Demands/Working Environment

  • Working environment is fast-paced
  • Extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
