Host | Part-Time | Vanderbilt University Athletics (Performance Dining)

About the role

The Host greets and escorts guests to proper seating tables. Must be able to maintain excellent attendance in accordance with the attendance policy.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon entry
• Check guests' purchased tickets and escort guests to table
• Maintain stock and supply levels and communicate low-stock items to the Director of Performance Dining
• Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including disposal of garbage and cleaning dishes
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Three or more months’ experience in the food service industry preferred
• Previous Host experience preferred
• Ability to learn to operate corresponding system
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers, and guests
• Strong customer service skills required
