Host/Hostess - THE JOYCE South Beach

About the role

As the first point of contact, you’ll set the tone for every guest’s experience. You’ll greet guests with warmth, manage reservations and seating efficiently, and help ensure our service runs seamlessly. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, high-energy environment and loves providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Manage reservations and walk-ins using Seven Rooms, anticipating guest needs, such as noting allergies or special requests.
• Escort guests to their tables with grace, presenting menus and introducing them to their server.
• Maintain the pristine appearance of the host stand and entrance area at all times.
• Handle phone calls with excellent etiquette, managing inquiries and reservations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Host/Hostess in an upscale or high-volume restaurant.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional, polished, and confident presence.
• Experience with Seven Rooms or similar reservation systems (a plus).
• Works well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and reliable work ethic.
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to stand for the duration of shifts and lift, move, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. as needed.
