About the Role

Metro Diner is seeking friendly Hosts and Hostesses to join its family‑owned team in Jacksonville, Florida. The position focuses on guest seating, greeting, reception, and reservations duties, providing great customer service in a fast‑paced, full‑service casual dining environment.

Qualifications

• Prior host/hostess experience in a fast‑paced restaurant setting preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong greeting and guest‑relations abilities; friendly and professional demeanor
• Knowledge of proper phone etiquette and front‑of‑house operations
• Familiarity with serving basics and hospitality standards
• Ability to multitask, manage reservations, and handle high‑volume periods

Schedule

Night and weekend shifts are mandatory. Flexible scheduling is offered, with both full‑time and part‑time day (AM) and night (PM) shifts available.
