Host / Hostess - Evening and Weekend Availability

The Host position at Applebee’s (Legacy Apple) involves greeting guests, assisting them to their seats, and maintaining guest flow with a caring sense of hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Open the door for guests arriving and departing (40%).
• Accommodate special needs of guests, such as boosters, high chairs, and disabilities (35%).
• Manage the wait list when the restaurant is full (10%).
• Provide guest assistance to servers as needed (5%).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and complete assigned cleaning tasks (5%).
• Invite all guests back for another experience (5%).

Qualifications

• Desire to care for others, grow, and learn.
• Positive attitude.
• Reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Mobility required throughout the entire shift.
• Ability to transport and carry objects (e.g., high‑chair) up to 15 lb up to 15 times per shift.

Physical Requirements

• Navigate throughout the restaurant and communicate with guests.
• Move and grasp items up to five pounds.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Bend and stoop as needed.
• Adequate vision to discern cleanliness and operate a touchscreen.
• Reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities.

Pay

This role is paid at the tip‑credit minimum wage plus tips. Actual take‑home pay varies based on availability.
