Responsibilities

• Answer phones and take messages/reservations.
• Maintain an accurate wait when necessary.
• Welcome guests upon arrival and bid them goodbye to create a lasting positive experience.
• Greet guests in a friendly and upbeat manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with all guests and report problems to management immediately.
• Coordinate seating arrangements to provide fast and courteous service.
• Occasionally bus tables to expedite efficient seating of waiting guests.
• Anticipate needs of scheduled special parties.
• Stand, bend, stoop, and kneel as required.
• Stay in one location (entrance or exit) for long periods and safely move about the entire facility.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience with customer service and/or hosting.
• Must speak fluent English; other languages preferred.
• Strong communication skills to interact with guests, employees, and third parties.
• Reading and writing abilities for recording and reviewing reservations and seating charts.
• Basic mathematical skills for managing seating and reservations.
• Ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Capability to handle objects, operate phones, and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and stooping.
• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
