Host/Barista and Server Assistant (Hybrid Role)

Essential Functions

• Greet and seat guests utilizing the Tock platform.
• Hold the door for guests when entering or exiting whenever possible.
• Guide guests to the restrooms whenever asked for their location.
• Maintain status updates of tables on Tock throughout all services.
• Add guests to the “walk-in waitlist” and manage the “walk-in waitlist.”
• Review guests’ notes and seating diagrams for correctness and efficiency.
• Notify management and servers of CIP, Sunflower, or Houseguests being seated.
• Seat guests in rotation of servers without double or tripling seating.
• Take to-go orders and enter them into ResortSuite.
• Guide guests or provide directions around the property.
• Show proper phone etiquette.

Barista Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages, ranging from simple to elaborate.
• Promote and recommend menu options to guests.
• Take and process orders and bill guests via the POS, ResortSuite.
• Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply, stocking coffee brewing equipment, maintaining supplies, and stocking to-go items.
• Maintain equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting, and scheduling repairs.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.

Server’s Assistant Duties

• Clear and reset tables in a timely manner.
• Assist with polishing all glassware and silverware as needed.
• Redistribute glassware once polished.
• Create sets and roll ups as needed.
• Absorb responsibilities of servers, including making iced tea, lemonade, coffee, and hot tea.
• Brew iced tea and coffee as needed.
• Create bread baskets to our standard and deliver them to the table while reciting one-liner.
• Walk food to tables and deliver dishes using open-handed service while reciting one-liner for each dish.
• Able to present the Dessert Trolley at a table.
• Process a guest payment when/if needed.
• Check in with the host to see what tables need to reset and confirm the correct party size.
