Must be friendly, outgoing, and possess good communication skills. Must be organized, able to think and act quickly, and retain self-composure. Must see the big picture and understand the impact of their role on the operation.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand and move quickly through the dining room for up to 5+ hours.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees.
• Must be able to carry up to 35 lbs.
• Must be able to speak, read, and understand the primary language of the work location.
• Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations.

Duties

• Communicate effectively with guests.
• Be enthusiastic and make guests feel appreciated through actions.
• Select appropriate tables using the rotation system and consider special requests from guests.
• Escort guests to their tables, provide menus and silverware, and wish them a pleasant dining experience.
• Read the dining room for potential problem areas and attend to guest needs accordingly.
• Manage a wait when necessary.
• Work as a team with all personnel.
• Perform 20-minute restroom checks and customer counts, including open menu counts for the kitchen.
• Treat all applicants as guests and inform a manager of their presence.
• Maintain proper telephone etiquette and effectively attend to caller needs if authorized, and inform management of large party accommodations.
• Manage special seating requests of guests consistent with table availability.
• Assist with the duties of servers and Server Assistants as needed to maintain service effectiveness and efficiency.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by a manager.
