About the role

Shooters Waterfront in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a HOST to join their fast-paced, high-volume location. They are specifically looking for candidates with previous Open Table and Toast experience.

Responsibilities

• Drives the door and analyzes reservations to prepare for waitlists and manage wait times.
• Plots reservations for busy nights and directs hosts on how to run the shift.
• Notifies management about large parties to prepare for high-volume orders.
• Ensures the host station is ready with fully stocked and organized items, and surrounding areas are clean.
• Uploads “Daily Floor Plan” information into Open Table.
• Plots tables for large parties and answers phones to respond to inquiries, verify wait times, finalize reservations, or handle to-go orders.
• Politely greets guests to create a welcoming atmosphere and ensures a memorable dining experience.
• Maintains guest flow, distributes guests evenly among wait staff, and keeps track of table statuses.
• Assists in completing to-go orders and ensures proper bagging and equipment.
• Attends all scheduled meetings and participates in suggesting improvements and staff development.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related experience.
• Available to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to work independently and follow prescribed routines.
• Proficient in restaurant-based computer software programs such as POS, MS Office, Open Table, and other restaurant management software.
• Reliable transportation.
• Consistent work attendance.
