About the role

Nudy's Cafes is a multi-location restaurant company that has been family owned & operated since 1979. We are the go-to casual breakfast & lunch location that provides quick, reasonably priced & freshly prepared meals in a family friendly environment. We currently operate in soon to be 16 locations across Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware Counties. We are actively hiring for full time and part-time Hosts for our front of the house in all of our locations.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas
• Provide guests with menus
• Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of seatings
• Inform guests of current promotions and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff
• Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming guests if appropriate
• Operate cash registers to accept payments for food and beverages

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant hosting or serving experience preferred
• Friendly and customer-focused personality
• Ability to articulate clear greetings and farewells to guests, as well as being able to understand requests for assistance
• Ability to clearly communicate guests’ needs to Servers, Bussers, Managers, etc.
• Ability to effectively communicate on the telephone
• Must be able to carry trays or supplies (10-30 lbs.)

Pay

$10.00 per hour

Schedule

Hosting shifts are 9 am - 2:30 pm daily.

BOH Paid Vacation
Full Time culinary employees are eligible for accrued time off, up to 1 week in their first year. Retention bonus added after year 5, to include an additional bonus of one weeks pay.
