Duties and Responsibilities

• Check in all employees and highlight on the Open Table system.
• Answer the phone, take reservations, and take takeout orders.
• Ensure menus are clean and organized.
• Greet, check in, and seat guests.
• Print any special chits off Open Table with special instructions and hand off to the server upon their checking in.
• Review all Open Table reservations and map out the plan for the shift.
• Utilize Open Table to make sure to capture important information about guests.
• Work with the manager on the floor to ensure the proper wait time.
• Ensure restrooms and the host stand are clean, stocked, and organized.
• Interact with guests to ensure a positive dining experience.

Knowledge And Skills

• Excellent communication skills (verbal interactions with management, servers, team members, and guests).
• Basic reading skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to visually scan the restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables.
• Able to work well with others and independently.
• Able to organize and multitask.

Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work

This is an hourly paid position. Days and hours of work vary according to business hours and job requirements. The business operates seven (7) days a week; and hours start as early as 9 AM and can go as late as 2 AM depending on the work required. Typically weekday shifts start at 3:45 and go until 10:00 but hours vary. Weekend lunch hours vary.

Compensation

$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
