Host an International High School Exchange Student (Topeka, KS)

SHARE! Your Heart & Home with a high school exchange student. Host an international exchange student! Host families and adults are needed to host exchange students for a school year or semester.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the exchange student
• Help the exchange student adjust to life in the new country
• Attend the exchange student's local high school classes
• Encourage the exchange student to participate in community activities
• Ensure the exchange student has access to healthcare and emergency services

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have a stable home and address
• Must have a good credit history
• Must have a valid health insurance policy
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English

Qualifications

• Willingness to share your home and heart with a young person from another culture
• Ability to provide a safe and supportive environment for the exchange student
• Interest in learning about different cultures and ways of life
• Availability to host the exchange student for a full school year or semester

• Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency procedures
