Host an International High School Exchange Student (Taylors, SC)

About the Role

ERDT/SHARE! is a global non-profit educational foundation providing international student exchange services since 1974. We are seeking caring individuals and families to host international exchange students for a semester or a full school year, offering them a chance to experience American family life while sharing their own culture and traditions.

Responsibilities

• Welcome an international student into your home and family
• Provide a stable and caring environment for the student
• Support the student as they attend their local high school

Requirements

There is no "perfect" host family. We welcome:

• Two-parent families (with or without children)
• Single parents
• Single adults
• Retired couples
• Empty nesters

If you have a caring heart, a stable home, and a willingness to welcome a student into your family, you may be the perfect host.

About the Students

• Ages 14–18 years old
• From countries including France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland, Japan, South Korea, China, Brazil, Mexico, and many others
• Speak English
• Have comprehensive medical insurance
• Have spending money for personal expenses
• Are carefully screened and selected before arriving in the United States
