Host an International High School Exchange Student (Palo Pinto County, TX)

Description

SHARE! Your Heart & Home with a high school exchange student. Host an international exchange student! Host families and adults are needed to host exchange students for a school year or semester.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the exchange student
• Help the exchange student adjust to life in the new country and community
• Attend the exchange student's local high school classes
• Encourage the exchange student to participate in local activities and events
• Ensure the exchange student has access to healthcare and emergency services
• Support the exchange student in making friends and becoming part of the host family

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old
• Have a valid driver's license
• Have a stable home and address
• Be able to provide a safe and comfortable living space for the exchange student
• Be willing to commit to hosting the exchange student for a full school year or semester

Qualifications

• Willingness to share your home and heart with a young person from another culture
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Open-mindedness and cultural sensitivity
• Flexibility and adaptability
