Host an International High School Exchange Student (Johns Creek, GA)

About the role

SHARE! High School Exchange Program is seeking caring individuals and families to host international exchange students for a semester or a full school year. Students are 14–18 years old and come from countries including France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland, Japan, South Korea, China, Brazil, Mexico, and many others.

Our students are excited to experience American family life, attend their local high school, and become a true member of your family while sharing their own culture and traditions.

Responsibilities

• Welcome an international exchange student into your home and family life
• Provide a stable, caring environment for the duration of the student’s stay
• Support the student’s integration into your local high school and community

Requirements

• Caring heart and willingness to welcome a student into your family
• Stable home environment

Qualifications

There is no "perfect" host family. We welcome:

• Two-parent families (with or without children)
• Single parents
• Single adults
• Retired couples
• Empty nesters

Student details

• Speaks English
• Has comprehensive medical insurance
• Has spending money for personal expenses
• Is carefully screened and selected before arriving in the United States
