Host an International High School Exchange Student (Grand Prairie, TX)

About the role

ERDT/SHARE! is a global non‑profit educational foundation that has been providing international student exchange services to host families and international teens since 1974. The program seeks caring individuals and families to host high‑school exchange students for a semester or a full school year. Students are 14–18 years old and come from countries including France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland, Japan, South Korea, China, Brazil, Mexico, and many others. Each student speaks English, has comprehensive medical insurance, has spending money for personal expenses, and is carefully screened before arrival.

Responsibilities

• Provide a caring, stable home for an international exchange student.
• Welcome the student into your family, support their attendance at a local high school, and help them experience American family life.
• Share your own culture and traditions while learning about the student’s background.

Requirements

• Have a caring heart and a stable home.
• Be willing to welcome a student into your family.
• Open to two‑parent families (with or without children), single parents, single adults, retired couples, and empty nesters.
