Host an International High School Exchange Student (Cobb County, GA)

About the role

SHARE! High School Exchange Program is seeking caring individuals and families to host international exchange students for a semester or a full school year. Students are 14–18 years old and come from countries including France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland, Japan, South Korea, China, Brazil, Mexico, and many others. Our students are excited to experience American family life, attend their local high school, and become a true member of your family while sharing their own culture and traditions.

Responsibilities

• Host an international student for a semester or a full school year.
• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the student.
• Attend to the student's needs, including meals, transportation, and activities.
• Engage in cultural exchanges and share your own culture with the student.
• Ensure the student's safety and well-being at all times.

Requirements

• Be a Two-parent family (with or without children), Single parent, Single adult, Retired couple, or Empty nester.
• Have a stable home and a willingness to welcome a student into your family.
• Be able to speak English.
• Have comprehensive medical insurance for the student.
• Be willing to provide spending money for personal expenses.

Qualifications

• Every SHARE! student speaks English.
• Every SHARE! student has comprehensive medical insurance.
• Every SHARE! student has spending money for personal expenses.
• Every SHARE! student is carefully screened and selected before arriving in the United States.
