About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Hospitality Account Manager based in Southern California. In this role, you will focus on the development and growth of targeted hospitality flag, brand, owner/developer, and interior designer accounts, with significant carryover into the multifamily residential housing market and associated accounts. You will also be responsible for business development in the Las Vegas market, driving sales growth of all Symmons products by developing agreed-upon target accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on capturing market share in the hospitality segment by meeting with owners & developers, specification community, and brand leadership.
  • Lead daily engagement within the Las Vegas market for wholesale distribution, contractor relationships, and activities.
  • Develop and manage a list of target accounts, create account plans for each, and secure specifications for Symmons products.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com to assist in account development and pipeline management.
  • Develop an annual business plan outlining your growth strategy and support needs.
  • Build cross-functional sales associate relationships internally and externally to communicate business opportunities on local, regional, and national levels.
  • Proactively target the Owner/Developer’s entire portfolio using a partnership and consultative approach.
  • Actively discover and identify potential new target accounts.
  • Proactively discover customer’s perceived and unperceived needs and implement value-driven solutions.
  • Identify and engage with all additional influencers in the supply chain (e.g., wholesalers, contractors, general contractors, engineers).
  • Manage Symmons products related to customer offering, writing specifications, and other detail set-up and maintenance information.
  • Develop service-related programs with ownership accounts to promote long-term business (e.g., buying agreements, rebate programs, service commitments).
  • Plan and budget specific customer entertainment events to grow Symmons’ presence and relationships (e.g., customer visits to Symmons facilities, sporting events, outings).
  • Actively participate in key industry associations and networking events.
  • Maintain a high level of technical product and industry knowledge, including industry codes and standards.
  • Travel 50% - 75% to key accounts regionally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related field required.
  • 5+ years in product/services-related sales with an emphasis on major owner/developer groups and key industry associations.
  • Experience with plumbing customers preferred; similar customers required.
  • Ability to interact with various customers (Owners/Developers/Wholesalers/Contractors) and all levels of an organization.
  • Experience in strategic planning and implementation.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, disciplined, and strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the wholesale segment of the bath and kitchen industry preferred.
  • Excellent planning and analysis skills.
  • Experience with sales reporting systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Strong computer skills; proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Microsoft Outlook, and data warehouse sales reporting systems.
  • Demonstrated ‘pull-through’ selling skills.
