Hospitalist OB/GYN

About the role

Seeking an OB/GYN Hospitalist to provide comprehensive obstetric care in a hospital setting. The role involves managing obstetric emergencies, labor, vaginal and cesarean deliveries, OB procedures, triage, postpartum care, and supporting private practice OB/GYNs.

Responsibilities

• Manage obstetric emergencies and clinical procedures.
• Provide labor and delivery care, including vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
• Perform OB procedures and triage patients.
• Deliver postpartum care.
• Collaborate with staff, educate team members, and lead safety initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

• MD or DO with OB/GYN specialization.
• Ability to handle obstetric emergencies and clinical procedures.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Schedule

• Guaranteed shifts with flexible, self‑scheduling.
• Minimum of 5 × 24‑hour shifts per month.
• No call, clinic, or office management duties.
• Approximately 21 days off per month.

Join a 361‑bed regional medical center with a Family Birth Center offering comprehensive women's services, including a Level III NICU, private labor and postpartum suites, and maternal‑fetal medicine. Located in Tacoma, WA, a vibrant city known for arts, culture, and outdoor activities on Puget Sound.
