About the role
Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a Hospitalist Candidate Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy hospital setting.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Manage patient flow and ensure timely discharge planning.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Current Medical License in West Virginia.
- Current DEA license.
- Passing score on the American Board of Family Medicine or American Board of Internal Medicine certification exam.
Qualifications
- Experience in hospital medicine preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems.

Pay
Guaranteed salary of $277,000 with eligibility for an individual wRVU-based productivity bonus and generous group performance incentives.
Schedule
Flexible scheduling, working only 14 shifts per month. No call required. Closed ICU and procedures are optional.
Practice Highlights
“Internal moonlighting” practice program was started in 2006. No call! Excellent specialty/sub-specialty support provided by advanced practitioners.

Cabell Huntington Hospital is located in a community with a resident population of approximately 55,000. It is home to Marshall University and offers a family-friendly environment with various kid-focused activities. The area has a moderate climate with four distinct seasons and reasonable cost of living. It is also close to major cities like Lexington, Columbus, or Cincinnati within a 2-hour drive.
