Responsibilities
The Unit Secretary is responsible for:
- Serving as a receptionist
- Maintaining patient records
- Transcribing and communicating physician orders
- Maintaining order at the nursing station
- Performing other related duties as assigned or requested
Requirements
No formal education or training is required for this position.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with certification as a Unit Secretary.
Skills
