Hospital Services Driver
Job Responsibilities
- Supports and promotes Memorial Blood Centers' practices to ensure excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Ensures correct and timely packaging of blood components and supplies for transport.
- Provides timely delivery and pick-up as directed by Hospital Services and other departments within the blood center, as schedule permits.
- Demonstrates complete understanding and complies with established policies and procedures relating to assigned tasks; adheres to safety policies and procedures.
- Promotes teamwork and communication internally and externally.
- Maintains a professional attitude and appearance.
- Demonstrates dependability, punctuality and cooperation.
- Participates in continuing education training.
- Attends staff meetings and completes competency testing on time.
- Maintains vehicles, supplies and required forms and reports.
- Responsible for maintaining records of all miles driven on a given day/shift.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- The hourly rate for this position is $19.06/hr. - 20.56/hr. - Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Other: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. 2 Years driving experience including highway and residential
- Ability to work well with others and independently; good communication skills both oral and written; displays a professional manner. Ability to work well under pressure.
