Job Responsibilities

  • Supports and promotes Memorial Blood Centers' practices to ensure excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Ensures correct and timely packaging of blood components and supplies for transport.
  • Provides timely delivery and pick-up as directed by Hospital Services and other departments within the blood center, as schedule permits.
  • Demonstrates complete understanding and complies with established policies and procedures relating to assigned tasks; adheres to safety policies and procedures.
  • Promotes teamwork and communication internally and externally.
  • Maintains a professional attitude and appearance.
  • Demonstrates dependability, punctuality and cooperation.
  • Participates in continuing education training.
  • Attends staff meetings and completes competency testing on time.
  • Maintains vehicles, supplies and required forms and reports.
  • Responsible for maintaining records of all miles driven on a given day/shift.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • The hourly rate for this position is $19.06/hr. - 20.56/hr. IBR also offers comprehensive benefits (including medical, vision, dental, paid time off, and sick days) to full and part-time employees, as well as the opportunity to participate in a 403(b)-retirement plan with a generous employer contribution.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Other: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. 2 Years driving experience including highway and residential
  • Ability to work well with others and independently; good communication skills both oral and written; displays a professional manner. Ability to work well under pressure.
