Primary Job Responsibilities
- Create safety and security for patients, visitors and staff at the No. 1 Hospital in Seattle and WA State
- Offer exceptional customer service skills, offering support and understanding in dealing with patients, staff, faculty and visitors to the medical center
- Tactfully confront individuals and gain their trust for authority, de-escalating anger to bring about satisfactory solutions
- Investigate incidents and crimes with the aptitude to complete clear, concise and accurate incident reports and other documentation
- Patrol and inspect interior and exterior of facility, on foot or in a vehicle
- Respond promptly and safely to calls for assistance and “code” calls throughout UWMC
- Evict, hold or detain persons when directed to do so by the appropriate law enforcement agency, clinical or administrative authority
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Possess a valid driver's license
- No previous felony convictions
- Two years full-time college in police science or allied field OR two years of police or campus security experience

Compensation, Benefits And Position Details
- Pay Range Minimum: $27.71 hourly
- Pay Range Maximum: $39.63 hourly
