Hospital Phlebotomist - 3rd Shift

About the role
Join Labcorp as a Phlebotomist at Mobile Infirmary Hospital in Mobile, AL. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and represent the company. You will also have opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
- Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or 3+ months of experience as a phlebotomist
- In lieu of work experience, certification or training must come from an accredited agency
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of phlebotomy experience
Schedule
3rd shift, 4x10s typically Monday–Friday (days may vary), 8:00 PM–6:30 AM, with rotating Saturdays.
