At this specialty referral center, you will be performing and assisting with the highest level of specialty ophthalmologic care available. We function as a partner to general practitioners throughout Colorado, managing complex animal eye diseases that require expert attention. Your Impact as a Hospital Manager
We are seeking a dynamic Hospital Manager to lead operations and people management within our fast-paced CVCA specialty hospital. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving business results, managing P&L, and cultivating a healthy, engaged hospital culture focused on quality medical practices. You will serve as the bridge between business strategy and clinical excellence, ensuring our teams have the leadership, resources, and environment they need to provide exceptional cardiac care.
Your Impact Will Include
- People & Culture Leadership: You will recruit, hire, and onboard high-quality teammates, proactively addressing conflict and fostering an engaged work environment. You will hold the team accountable for performance and behavior while organizing effective meetings to keep everyone aligned.
- Financial Management: You will manage the P&L effectively, overseeing labor costs, Cost of Goods (COGS), and inventory. You will participate in budgeting, monitor financial metrics, and ensure on-time delivery of business reports.
- Operational Excellence: You will maintain a safe work environment by monitoring OSHA guidelines, DEA compliance, and all local/federal laws. You will also oversee billing and finance management with associated partner/referral hospitals.
- Supporting the Medical Team: You will support the DVM team through effective coaching, scheduling, and workflow management. You may also perform Veterinary Technician/Assistant duties as needed to support patient care.
- Client Experience: You will partner with clients to ensure a positive experience, proactively addressing concerns and providing leadership to teammates on professional communication and scheduling processes.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- Associate's degree or higher preferred (or relevant work experience).
- Proven experience recruiting, interviewing, and selecting high-quality teammates.
- Previous P&L management experience, including success in driving results and managing labor costs, is preferred.
- Experience leading a diverse workforce in a customer-focused veterinary hospital or retail environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to various audiences (DVMs, field leadership, teammates).
- Conflict management experience and the ability to establish a positive "can do" team environment.
