Hospital/ER Certified Nursing Assistant CNA

Summary Statement

Under the supervision of the DON and delegation of RN/LPN, the employee assists in the direct care of patients, ensuring their well-being, comfort, and safety during scheduled shifts for hospital, ER, and Nursing Service patients. Provides and maintains professional, quality, patient-centered care through the implementation of CNA standards, policies, and procedures.

Physical and Environmental Demands

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Bend, or stoop.
• Sit/Stand throughout the day.
• Physical setting in Hospital/ED.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program and hold an active certification.
• MT CNA License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Experience/Knowledge

• Effective communication with staff, patients, and family members.
• Care for patients of all ages and acuity.
• Work with individuals from various backgrounds to ensure high-quality patient care delivery.
