About the role
Vitalant is seeking a Hospital Distribution Technician dedicated to making a positive difference. The position supports Vitalant's life-saving mission by managing the inventory of blood and blood products and facilitating the packaging and shipment to local hospitals and patients.
Responsibilities
- Support Vitalant's life-saving mission by managing the inventory of blood and blood products and facilitating the packaging and shipment to local hospitals and patients.
- Receive, prepare, and ship routing, ASAP and STAT orders of blood and blood products, conducting a visual inspection of each product prior to shipment to ensure order accuracy.
- Professionally and safely deliver products to Vitalant customers in company vehicle.
- Data entry, order processing for hospital blood orders.
- Blood inventory management.
- Communicate with customers regarding order fulfilment, turnaround times, and product availability.
- Maintain accurate hospital service records for transactions and process fees.
- Monitor all storage requirements, service equipment and vehicle work areas.
Requirements
- A High School diploma or GED.
- A valid in-state driver's license.
- Six months of customer service experience.
- Prior healthcare industry experience preferred.
- Able to lift 40lbs.

Pay
Starting Pay $18.27 - $19.06 Varies Based on Experience.
Schedule
- Full-Time Float Position - Can be scheduled any shift.
- 8am, 2pm or 7pm shift start times Tues-Sat or Sun-Thurs.
- On-Call Rotation About Every 6 weeks for one week.
- Work varied holidays as scheduled (holiday rotation).
