Hospital Distribution Technician (Full-Time Float)

About the role

Vitalant is seeking a Hospital Distribution Technician dedicated to making a positive difference. The position supports Vitalant's life-saving mission by managing the inventory of blood and blood products and facilitating the packaging and shipment to local hospitals and patients.

Responsibilities

• Support Vitalant's life-saving mission by managing the inventory of blood and blood products and facilitating the packaging and shipment to local hospitals and patients.
• Receive, prepare, and ship routing, ASAP and STAT orders of blood and blood products, conducting a visual inspection of each product prior to shipment to ensure order accuracy.
• Professionally and safely deliver products to Vitalant customers in company vehicle.
• Data entry, order processing for hospital blood orders.
• Blood inventory management.
• Communicate with customers regarding order fulfilment, turnaround times, and product availability.
• Maintain accurate hospital service records for transactions and process fees.
• Monitor all storage requirements, service equipment and vehicle work areas.

Requirements

• A High School diploma or GED.
• A valid in-state driver's license.
• Six months of customer service experience.
• Prior healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Able to lift 40lbs.

Pay

Starting Pay $18.27 - $19.06 Varies Based on Experience.

Schedule

• Full-Time Float Position - Can be scheduled any shift.
• 8am, 2pm or 7pm shift start times Tues-Sat or Sun-Thurs.
• On-Call Rotation About Every 6 weeks for one week.
• Work varied holidays as scheduled (holiday rotation).
