About the role
DaVita is seeking a Dialysis Registered Nurse at Putnam Community Medical Center (Palatka, FL) who is looking to provide care to patients dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease.
Responsibilities
- Deliver care to patients who are often dealing with multiple co-morbidities requiring unique treatment plans and leveraging a broad range of nursing skills and knowledge.
- Oversee a group of patients with the support of PCTs to conduct patient observations, measure stats, and machine setup.
- Work with your head, heart, and hands in a fast-paced environment, delivering dialysis to patients at a contracted healthcare system.
- Provide specialty nephrology care within a variety of settings (ICU, CCU, ED, and more).
- Work during regularly scheduled and on-call shifts, with schedules varying by hospital system.
- Commit to improving patient health through clinical goal setting and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N), or three-year diploma from an accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree.
- Hemodialysis Experience Required.
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg) experience.
Qualifications
- Flexible schedule capable of working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Skills
- Specialty in multiple renal therapies, including Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), and Apheresis.

Schedule
Provide lifesaving care during regularly scheduled and on-call shifts. Schedules vary by hospital system. For this role, expect to know your weekly schedule in advance, but your daily schedule may change depending on patient needs.
