Requirements of the Hospital/Clinical Liaison
- Preferred Bachelors' degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, and/or Marketing
- 3-5 years' progressive experience in marketing and/or public relations in a health care setting
- Long-term care experience required
- Must have advanced training in hospital or nursing Facility administration
- Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and regulatory standards
- Must possess the ability to communicate effectively, orally, and in writing
- Professional sales presentation skills required
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies or personnel and the general public
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of principles of effective communication, mass media, advertising, policies, education, community relations, demonstration, organization structure, social and activity services, and government relations, etc., as they relate to nursing Facility operations
- Must possess the ability to establish, implement, and maintain effective marketing and public relations program
- Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen
Responsibilities of the Hospital/Clinical Liaison
- The Hospital/Clinical Liaison Leader will be responsible for devising strategies to gain patient referrals through establishing/maintaining relationships with physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Generate new patient activity and create deeper relationships with referral sources to grow profitable revenue streams.
- Formulate a sales plan to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Establish and monitor sales process to ensure timeliness with goals.
- Execute day to day operations to drive KPI’s (referrals, conversion rate, customer satisfaction).
- Achieve one-on-one sales calls and community interactions to enhance the reputation of the organization and increase awareness of services offered.
- Act as the key resource for internal and external customers.
- Identify new business opportunities with referring partners.
- Develop census as defined by targeted goals of the business plan.
- Assist with coordination of the referral-to-admission process.
- Represent the organization in community-related activities.
- Recognize barriers to admission, and respond timely/appropriately.
