Hospice RN, Part-Time Weekend 12 hr Shifts Offering Sign-On Bonus!Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Part-Time Location: Grand Rapids and surrounding area’sAbout the Role:Emmanuel Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Weekend RN to join our interdisciplinary hospice care team. This role provides skilled nursing care, education, and support to patients and families across multiple care settings during the weekend hrs from 7am-7pm. As a part time nurse, you will assist the nursing team with admissions, assessments, treatment planning, and interventions, while ensuring continuity of care across our service area.Benefits: Schedule: Sat/Sun, or Every other Sat/Sun (12hr) shifts 7am – 7:30pmCompetitive payMileage reimbursement at the federal rateSelf-care coaching + EAPCompany tech provided (laptop/iPad, phone)PTO and Sick Time package403(b) plan with matchKey Responsibilities:Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients’ physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needsDevelop, evaluate, and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary teamProvide skilled nursing care including wound dressings, IVs, blood draws, and catheter careEducate patients, families, and caregivers on symptom management, disease processes, and the hospice philosophyCoordinate with physicians, hospice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver exemplary end-of-life careAssist with bereavement counseling and provide emotional support to families and caregiversPerform urgent need visits and provide post-mortem care, including pronouncement of death and family supportSupervise and evaluate Hospice Aide services, including periodic on-site visitsEnsure compliance with Emmanuel Hospice policies, procedures, and regulatory standardsTravel within the service area to patient homes and healthcare facilitiesQualifications & Experience:Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of MichiganBSN preferred, associate degree/diploma requiredMinimum 2 years of nursing experience required; 1 year in acute care or hospice preferredExperience with Electronic Medical Records requiredStrong communication and collaboration skillsPhysical Requirements:Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 poundsComfortable working in varied environments, including patient homes and healthcare facilitiesFrequent travel required within the Emmanuel Hospice service area Come As You Are:At Emmanuel Hospice, you’ll be part of a team that feels like family—where every voice is heard, and every heart matters.
