Hospice Volunteer (unpaid)

About the role

Hospice volunteers provide emotional, spiritual, and practical support to patients and their families during difficult times. This role requires empathy, patience, and a willingness to listen.

Responsibilities

• Offer companionship and support to hospice patients and their families.
• Help with daily tasks such as errands, cooking, and light housekeeping.
• Attend to patients' needs, including medication reminders and comfort measures.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Pass a background check.
• Commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week.
