About the role
Continuum Care Hospice seeks compassionate and dedicated volunteers to join their team. Opportunities include companionship, respite care, pet therapy, hairdressing, and more in the Marysville area.
Responsibilities
- Spend time with patients to provide companionship, comfort, and support.
- Engage in activities such as chatting, reminiscing, holding hands, listening to stories, playing games, reading together, creating art, or enjoying other meaningful activities.
- Volunteers visit patients once a week or once every other week, based on the patient's needs and the volunteer's schedule.
Requirements
No formal education or training is required, but a caring attitude and willingness to learn are essential. Volunteers must be 18 years or older and pass a background check.
Qualifications
Volunteers should be able to commit to a minimum of 2 hours per month and attend an orientation session.
