About the role

For over 125 years, Calvary Hospital and Calvary @Home in the Bronx, New York have been dedicated to the palliative care of advanced cancer and other terminally ill patients and their families. Through a caring, compassionate philosophy of non‑abandonment, the hospice provides a full spectrum of palliative services, including emotional, spiritual, and physical care. Pay

Salary: $65,688.82 – $83,221.82 annually

Requirements

• One (1) year experience in pastoral/spiritual counseling with issues relating to illness, death, grief, and bereavement
• Minimum two (2) units of Clinical Pastoral Education; credentialed Chaplain or Board Certified Chaplain preferred
• Recognition as a Pastoral or Spiritual Counselor
• At least one year of hospice experience preferred
• Ability to minister to patients/families from diverse cultures and beliefs in their own homes and work as members of an interdisciplinary team
• A valid driver’s license is required (does not apply to positions assigned exclusively to Manhattan territory)
• A vehicle is required to commute to patients (does not apply to positions assigned exclusively to Manhattan territory)
• Education: Baccalaureate degree required; Master’s degree preferred
