Hospice Sales Representative

About the role

Amedisys, one of the largest and most trusted home health and hospice companies in the U.S., seeks a Hospice Liaison with experience in outside sales or business development within the healthcare industry. Ideal candidates have a background in cold calling, pharmaceuticals, medical device sales, hospital, home health, hospice, or long-term care settings.

This role covers Ocean County and requires travel of 50% or more within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Educate healthcare professionals, patients, and families about home care services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key referral sources such as hospitals, nursing homes, and physician offices to generate leads.
• Coordinate patient admissions with the team, including obtaining all required documentation to complete the referral-to-admission process.
• Conduct on-site visits to assess patient needs and identify barriers to care.
• Keep accurate records of patient interactions and referrals.
• Achieve admissions, product, and payor-mix goals.
• Meet short- and long-term target account goals.
• Document the minimum expectation of sales calls daily in CRM (including pre- and post-call notes).
• Maintain a complete, up-to-date record of targeted referral sources in the territory in CRM.
• Attend community events to promote Amedisys.
• Respond to customer complaints in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a healthcare-related business development or outreach role.
• Reliable transportation, current driver’s license, and liability insurance.

A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.

Pay

Salary: $85,000 – $90,000 plus bonus potential.
