Hospice RN - 7on/7off

About the role

Afterhours Registered Nurse responsible for providing comprehensive hospice care outside regular hours, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Triaging patient needs via phone until in-person visits can be conducted
• Responding promptly to crisis calls from patients and families
• Performing initial nursing evaluations to determine hospice eligibility within 48 hours of referral
• Conducting afterhours visits such as admissions, death, recertification, and routine checks
• Assessing and reassessing patient and family physical, psychosocial, emotional, and environmental needs
• Documenting issues, goals, interventions, and responses to care
• Providing care regardless of patient demographics or home situation

Requirements

• Current unrestricted RN license
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation or public transit access
• Experience as an RN or relevant healthcare setting experience (minimum one year in MS; LPN experience may substitute)

Qualifications

• Preferred CPR certification
• Preferred clinical experience of over one year

Pay

Salary ranges from $67,104 to $100,656 annually, based on factors like experience and location.
