Hospice Registered Nurse (RN), FT 40
Tri-Cities Chaplaincy is seeking a compassionate and skilled In-Home Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality hospice care in patients' homes. This role involves providing skilled nursing care, pain management, and emotional support to patients facing end-of-life challenges, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
About the role
As an In-Home Hospice RN, you will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive the best possible care and comfort during their end-of-life journey. This position is full-time, non-exempt, with an anticipated schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, plus one on-call shift per month.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care and pain management to hospice patients in their homes.
- Offer emotional support to patients and their families during end-of-life care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Demonstrate support for and adherence to the agency’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Participate in community outreach and education to promote agency programs, including hospice care, advanced planning, and bereavement services.
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with agency policies, procedures, and practices.
- Protect patient and agency information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Complete agency and departmental orientation, required training, and ongoing education.
- Be available to work as assigned, including a minimum of two holiday shifts per year.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (required).
- Unrestricted Registered Nurse Licensure in Washington State (required).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Moderate computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable personal transportation, valid driver’s license, and vehicle insurance per state requirements.
- Pass pre-employment drug testing (including cannabis testing in WA State) and criminal background screening.
- Meet physical and environmental requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
- Satisfy state and agency health requirements, including proof of immunization or approved accommodations.
- Maintain current licensure and certifications required for the role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Bilingual in Spanish (eligible for premium pay upon verification through ALTA staff testing and approval).
Pay
Hiring range: $37.67/hour - $57.22/hour, depending on experience and qualifications. New hires are eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus upon successful completion of 90 days of continuous employment in good standing.
