About the Role

Ohioans offers a range of home health positions designed to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families. From medication teaching and nutrition counseling to respiratory assessment and disease education, our team is dedicated to ensuring the best possible care in the comfort of patients' homes.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor medication compliance and set up IV therapy, injections, and provide necessary education for administering injections.
  • Ensure compliance with special diets, monitor weight, and utilize intravenous nutrition such as TPN and tube feeding.
  • Provide instruction on the use of inhalers, aerosol machines, oxygen, and the proper care of all equipment.
  • Offer post-operative care, monitor chest pain, blood pressure, edema, and educate on signs and symptoms of further cardiac problems.
  • Conduct dressing changes, wound vac therapy, assess wound healing, and identify signs of infection. Provide dressing supplies and order wound vacs as necessary.
  • Inform patients about the disease processes of various conditions including COPD, CHF, diabetes, renal failure, MS, osteoporosis, and more.
  • Care for infants and children with a variety of diagnoses and special needs, performing skills such as PICC care, tracheostomy care, chemotherapy, parenteral nutrition, nasogastric or enterostomy feedings, medication administration, and providing education to parents/caregivers.

Qualifications

Schedule

Our team works flexible hours to accommodate the diverse needs of our patients, typically ranging from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Some positions may require evening or weekend coverage.
