Hospice Physician - Full-Time in Metro OKC - INTEGRIS Health

Responsibilities

• Physician oversight for Medicare and Medicaid hospice programs, ensuring compliance with federal Conditions of Participation (CoPs) and quality standards.
• Provide hospice and palliative care consultations for inpatient and home hospice settings.
• Engage with Quality metrics including Hospice Determinations, Diagnosis Relatedness, CTI completions, KPIs.
• Lead discussions regarding goals of care, advance care planning, and symptom management.
• Inpatient/outpatient rounding and oversight, medication orders, admissions, IDG coverage weekly, and call coverage (additional call compensation).
• Participate in care transitions and coordination across the continuum of care.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including nursing, social work, chaplaincy, pharmacy, and case management.
• Shared call coverage with supportive physician team.
• Rotations at Hospice House in NW OKC – 12 bed unit (shared among several physicians).

Qualifications

• Oklahoma MD or DO license (currently held).
• BC/BE in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or related specialty.
• Fellowship in Hospice & Palliative Care preferred though not required.
