What You’ll Do
- Providing medical care to patients in Samaritan inpatient units
- Communicating with patients and families
- Collaborating closely with staff
- Providing medical consultation to all hospice personnel
- Making Palliative Medicine consultations to patients and families
- Attending interdisciplinary team meetings
- Completing documentation in EMR
- Maintaining open communication with office staff
- Supporting and participating in performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives
- Understanding and complying with regulations and standards
- Reviewing and providing input on clinical policies
- Participating in on-call coverage
- Providing in-service training to appropriate personnel and other healthcare professionals
What You’ll Bring To Our Team
- A minimum of 4 years’ related experience
- An M.D. or D.O. degree
- A current license to practice medicine in the state of New Jersey
- Board certification in hospice and palliative care or eligibility for certification
- Bilingual skills are a plus
